Verified Label Match
MedScanX answers a simple question: which official product label did this package match? The result is a MatchCard — structured, source-attributed, with confidence and match reason visible. It is not a freeform AI rewrite of Drug Facts.
Barcode, NDC, then OCR assist
Prefer package barcode or printed NDC for public openFDA / DailyMed structured product labeling. If there is no barcode, OCR can read the label; you review and confirm before a match counts toward your history or free-scan allowance.
MatchCard contents
- Product name, strength, and dosage form
- Active ingredients and key warning sections when available
- Citations or deep links toward official labeling
- Confidence and “what matched” (NDC, brand string, ingredient line)
Library
Successful MatchCards are saved to an on-device Library (newest first). Tap to reopen without consuming another free scan. Swipe to delete; clear history from Settings.
Freemium
New installs include 2 free MatchCards (counted when a MatchCard is successfully shown). MedScanX Pro unlocks unlimited MatchCards. Failed OCR or cancelled scans do not consume a free MatchCard.
Privacy-minded defaults
No account required for MVP. Camera access is for scanning medicine packages. Photos are used only if you choose to pick or share an image. Label history stays on device by default. Network use is for public label lookups and, if enabled, optional cloud vision — disclosed in the Privacy Policy.
What we are not
MedScanX is not a supplement dosage tracker, reminder app, pill-shape identifier, or diagnostic tool. It does not replace a pharmacist or clinician.
